General Q & A

Do I need a referral to see an cardiologist or do any cardiac testing?

Cardiologists and Internist are specialized physicians and do require an referral form from your primary healthcare provider.

How will I know the results of my cardiac testing?

Your primary healthcare provider will specify whether your results will be discussed by the cardiologist or sent back to your primary doctor to be then discussed with you. Either option, you will have your results given to you and any questions or concerns you may have about the results.

Do I need to prepare for my cardiac testing?

Most of the cardiac tests and procedures will have minimal to no preparation needed. A cardiac nurse will contact you prior to your appointment to give you instructions and information on what to expect on your appointment date.

Can I cancel my appointment or reschedule?

Absolutely, please let us know at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to make any changes.
